Hello,

first of all : Thanks, congratulations and best wishes for you and your new product.

Just 2 questions :
There are applications with hundreds of screens (scx in foxpro).
Will there be any chance to convert them (semi)automatically ?
Will your forms be based on winforms and/or xaml ?

Reports
Do you have plans on implementing an own report system ? Maybe well documented interfaces to list&label or crystal could be better (and less work :-))

IMO, implementing an own report system is a vaste of time. And interfaces to List&Label are already well documented ... just use there dlls and there classes as you would do with C#. So there is nothing to do on the XSharp-side.

  • Tom,

We are not sure yet about the FoxPro GUI and report conversions. I must admit that the current devteam is not really that good in FoxPro.

We hope to get someone on board that understands that part of FoxPro.
    Are you tha guy ?

With regard to reporting: Armin already gave the right answer: we will not create our own reporting system.
Interfacing to L&L or Crystal should not be a problem. Both tools have a DotNet interface that you can talk to from your dotnet app.
